The Lagos State government through the Office of the Special Adviser to the Governor on Education (OSAE) Mr. Wahab Tokunbo officially launched the second phase of the digital skills initiative program now termed EKO DIGITAL, which focuses on equipping primary and secondary school students with digital skills that will better position them for the jobs of the future.

The event which was held on the 9th of March 2021, at the Genesis Hotel, GRA, Ikeja had in attendance the Special Adviser Education; Mr. Wahab Tokunbo, the Tutor Generals of public Schools from the 6 districts in the state, and 6 delivery partners selected to onboard and deploy the training across the 6 districts of Lagos.

Our collective first phase target is to reach out and train over 200,000 pupils and students from age 8 to 17 in both private and public schools in Lagos State in digital skills, which is about 30,000 per district for the first 3 months of phase 1 stage.

In the phase of the program, all pupils would be enrolled by their respective schools in their various districts and this program will run for a period of three months. This project is managed by LoftyInc Allied Partners Limited and Advent Management Solutions.

EduPoint who is one of the 6 selected delivery partners of this project, is an Education Technology company that uses its online and offline platform to connects students with verified local teachers who deliver one-on-one lessons in any subject, skill or exam, to help students or learners meet their learning expectations and also enable passionate tutors to earn extra income.

EduPoint helps students find, evaluate, book, and track lessons with competent teachers. Through this platform, we have been able to make personalized education accessible to thousands of Africans to help them to achieve their learning goals and also creating a viable source of income and means of training for many teachers on the continent.

We use other advanced technologies and Progressive Web Apps which allows for fast deployment of our solution that is very scalable across different platforms and users, and accessible to teachers and students in rural and urban communities even under low internet connectivity. We also offer digital skill training for both private and public schools and we are present in Lagos, Abuja, PortHarcourt, Enugu, and Ibadan.

EduPoint will also ensure and their engagement on the virtual learning platform. In the Eko Digital program, students will learn digital skills from Scratch.mit.edu and Code.org that cuts across basic programming, introduction to creative programming, Arts, Storytelling, and Games.

Students are required to develop an independent project by defining an idea to work on and present the project and its development process. Details will be included in the confirmation email received after registration

I’ve been surfing online greater than 3 hours
lately, yet I by no means discovered any interesting article like yours.
It is beautiful value sufficient for me. In my opinion, if all site owners and bloggers made excellent content material as you
did, the internet will probably be a lot more helpful than ever before.
