Education is derived from one of the Latin words; Educere. The word educate means to lead forth, to draw out. Education is, therefore, the development of mental ability and character. Education should be about self-realization. Knowing what a child truly needs. I beg to say that true education starts with the identification of the individual.

On the other hand, schooling is simply going to school attending classes right and pass examinations. One of the biggest inadequacies in schooling is that sometimes the School attendance does not affect directly the individual’s lifestyle morally or even in thought pattern.

Nelson Mandela once said education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.

• If the education you offer your child is yet to change his thought pattern positively then you’re still schooling your child.
• If the education you offer your child is yet to correct his little moral misbehavior then you’re still schooling.
• If your child still has to copy his classmates to pass examinations then you are still on the part of schooling.
• If your child can’t stand up for a change in his society then schooling is still what you do.
• If your child can’t make corrections and apply it directly in his own actions and lifestyle then you haven’t got into the part of true education.
• If your child’s mental power is still on a low key then start considering education.

Today help your child realize the purpose of education, because when purpose is not known abuse is inevitable.  

Education is beyond the scope of schooling. Schooling I will describe as the “how”, while education is the “what”. If the “how” is wrong, the “what” will be wrong too! Also, don’t just take your children to schools for the “how” to be carried out. Also, make sure the endpoint is unto education! Yeah! Let it stick.

Education is an approach to mental soundness and world-changing decisions.
